Seorang sumber juga menyatakan bahwa keduanya cepat akrab, bahkan Harry mengundangnya dalam sebuah pesta bersama teman-temannya.

"Sejak sampai di Inggris, Cameron ingin bisa melanjutkan latihan dan olah raga yang biasa dilakukannya. Produser pun memberinya keanggotaan di sebuah pusat kebugaran mewah dan ekstra rahasia, tanpa tahu bahwa Pangeran Harry adalah salah satu anggotanya," jelas sang sumber, seperti dilansir The Mirror.

"Pada pertemuan pertama, mereka hanya saling menyapa. Tak sengaja mereka bertemu lagi untuk kedua kalinya. Di pertemuan kedua, mereka lari bersama di treadmil, dan Harry menggoda Cameron dengan mengganti pengaturnya menjadi perlombaan satu kilometer. Cameron setuju, dan menang. BEM Padang : Tuntaskan Segera Kasus Menjerat Padang

Padang,MEDIAXINEWS -- Memperingati Hari Kebangkitan Nasional, ratusan mahasiswa berunjuk rasa di depan RRI Padang. Mereka menuntut Walikota Padang menuntaskan berbagai kasus yang menjerat Kota Padang dan tidak kunjung selesai seperti persolan pasar, pendidkan dan kesehatan yang tidak merata, jaminan kesejahteraan, mitigasi bencana dan transparansi dana gempa, reformasi yang menyeluruh, korupsi, degradasi akhlaq, pengangguran dan kemiskinan. Akibat aksi ini, kepadatan arus lalu lintas terlihat di Jl.Sudirman, Padang.

"Ini adalah momen Indonesia unuk bangkit. Tidak ada alasan untuk tidak menuntaskan korupsi, kemiskinan dan kebodohan," kata seorang mahasiswa dari kelompok Ikatan BEM se-Kota Padang, Sabtu, (21/5).

Selain dari BEM UNP, elemen mahasiswa lain seperti Atip, STIE Perbankan Indonesia dan STIE-PI,. Masing-masing kelompok mahasiswa bergabung dan berbaur stau sam laian menyuarkan layel-yel dan melagukan lagu Indonesia rayadan malakukan aksi hormat kepada Merah Putih.

Hingga pukul 14.15 WIB, aksi berjalan kondusif. polisi yang berjaga masih terlihat santai membuat pagar betis dan sebagian memantau dari kejauhan. Aksi ini berlangsung aman dan tertib.

Randai Performed at Taman Budaya Last May

MEDIAXIOCEAN,Padang-Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) students from Jakarta performed the traditional MinangkabauRandai dance last May 2, 2011 at the Taman Budaya, Padang. This was their third performance already. They had two other viewings at their school at Jakarta. The second one was for their rector, who eventually gave them the opportunity to showcase the traditional dance at Taman Budaya.


Randai is a combination of traditional Padang music, dance, martial arts and theatre arts. The performance runs through one storyline and ranges from forty minutes to almost an hour. Though a Randai performer narrates the story, the dance is still decorated with music. Their Golembong or traditional pants also produce percussion music that resonates through the performance. Tari Piriang and Sile local dance styles are mainly utilized in their rendition of Randai.


Firstly initiated by Bp. Arif Anas, a professor at ISI Padang Panjang, the performance group is now constituted by eight international members from the said university: Olivia, Jackie, Pop, Rita, Nicolson, Kristina, Poo and Trang. Coming off from different countries such as America, Vietnam, Thailand, Poland, Italy, Czech Republic and Granada, the dance group has travelled from Jakarta just to showcase their talents for the Padang populace. Their Randai story was simply running on students putting up a performance for their rector.


When asked what is special about the Randai dance, Jackie answered that it is really an engaging performance – different from Javanese and Balinese performing arts. In fact, when it was first viewed at Jakarta, the audience was amazed with its uniqueness and very fun characteristics.


Coming off from only ten sessions of practice, the ISI international traditional dance group has given the Randai dance their own exceptional rendition and consequently gained patrons for this traditional Padang dance.

Padang Receives A Pair of Foreign Exchange

MEDIAXIOCEAN,Padang-Padang City, through the service of the University of Andalas’ (UNAND) local committee’s AIESEC student organization has been the home for two foreign exchange, Tiana Morgan from Okland, New Zealand and MarenErb from Cologne, Germany.


To date, Tiana Morgan has already left Padang City, where has been staying for almost 8 weeks. However, before her eventual departure, foreign student correspondent and also an exchange participant from the Philippines, Miko de Vera had the opportunity to sit down and talk with these two ladies.


When first asked why they took this challenging exchange, Tiana and Maren agree that they wanted to learn the Asian culture, make new experiences and eventually get tanned. Tiana added that she had the free time so nothing else would be better to do but get through an exchange. While, Maren exclaimed that she saw pictures of Thailand from a friend so she decided that Indonesia was far away enough from home and live here for almost two months too.



Through the AIESEC organization too, Tiana and Maren had to work for a local establishment also here in Padang. They both work as assistant English teachers for SMA 1, a public senior high school. They teach conversational English to the students almost every day for the whole week.



Although they mainly work for the AIESEC organization and their local jobs, both ladies still have time to get around and see Padang and their people. Currently, they shared that Padang is a completely different culture from their own. The people and the city contribute a laid back and relaxed environment, which Maren really enjoys. She added that Germany is a very strict country compared to Padang. While, Tiana said that she really loves the food here and concluded that possibly she has gained weight already.



To completely experience the Indonesian culture, AIESEC-UNAND has also provided their exchange participants their own host families, which they will live with during their stay in Indonesia. Tiana, Maren and yours truly have been living with their host families all located near each other at the Tabing area of Padang.



Before Tiana Morgan left for Bangkok, she concluded that she would cry at the airport. Clearly, Padang and its local people have made their historical marks in her heart. Without a doubt, MarenErb would also feel similar emotions when she leaves on June.

Hundreds of elementary school students in Padang Beach degree Net Action

AIESEC Exchange Fair More Successful in Its Second Run

Padang (MEDIAXINEWS)-University of Andalas’ (UNAND) AIESEC international student organization completed its two-day seminar and interview of their “Exchange Fair No. 2”, yesterday(29/4).

The three-month preparation for this year’s Exchange Fair has paid off, with more than 75 university students participating in this seminar and on-the-spot interview. Conducted on two different venues and dates, the AIESEC-UNAND’s Exchange Fair was already the second and final run for their introductory exchange program for all interested students. This fair was separately held at University of Andalas last April 27 and at State University of Padang (UNP), yesterday April 29.

The Exchange Fair No. 2 was aimed to develop the interest of different university students to avail the exchange

program of the AIESEC student organization in more than 100 countries. Previous exchange participants (EPs) presented their souvenirs from their respective exchange countries and shared their experiences to all exchange fair spectators. To emphasize the significance of going on exchange, speakers Yulaindre Darwis, Ph.D and Parhiutanta, S.E. were also invited to separately talk about the advantages and motivating factors of the program.

Also, Rathih Ramadhani, the organizing committee president from AIESEC-UNAND, added that this exchange fair was conducted “to help more OGX (Outgoing Exchange) participants” to go through the whole exchange process – interviewing, raising, matching and eventually realizing the program. In addition to this process, there was also a set of criteria for assessing the interested exchange participants: English proficiency, permission letter from parents and an administration fee of 1.3 million Rupiah.

Indeed, 2011’s Exchange Fair has turned out more participants than from last year’s number. Now, with the management of more than 8 organizing committee members, the Exchange Fair No. 2 has delivered its purpose on its final run.

To part, Lydia Elvina, the organizing committee programmer, has expressed her message to the future EPs, “Ingat! (or take care in the Filipino language) I hope when you go to your country, you can achieve your expectations, meet new friends and accomplish even more different expectations than before.”
